AMC Village Crossing 18 Now Features Expanded Food and Beverage Options, Innovative Concession Area Design
KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct 10, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- AMC Theatres(R) (AMC) guests at AMC Village Crossing 18 in Skokie, Ill., can now get loaded nachos with their popcorn, or a smoothie to go along with pizza, and they can get it all without having to wait in a traditional concession line to order. AMC Village Crossing 18 is proud to unveil its new The Marketplace concept, which features an expanded food and beverage menu, as well as an innovative "grab-and-go" format.
The Marketplace's grab-and-go design enables guests to choose their favorite concession items before proceeding to the checkout area. And with so many new options available, they can select what they want without the pressure of a line.
With The Marketplace, AMC provides choices beyond the traditional popcorn and candy options. Guests can now choose from favorites such as a Philly Steak sandwich, hot foods like chicken bites, jalapeno poppers and mozzarella sticks, and sweet dessert options such as an Oreo(R) Brownie Stack, Big Blitz Bar with Snickers(R) and a Raspberry White Chocolate Cheesecake. The classics such as popcorn, hot dogs and candy are still available, as well as a few new twists on some old theatre favorites, including a chili-cheese dog, a classic Chicago dog and a bacon bleu dog. Loaded nachos, loaded waffle fries and gourmet popcorn are also available.
AMC Village Crossing 18 also features a number of better-for-you options, including AMC Smart MovieSnacks(TM), assorted nuts, dried fruit, and granola crunch selections, meat, cheese, and cracker combos, and gluten-free items including chocolate brownies.
The drink menu is expanded as AMC Village Crossing 18 now features six Coca-Cola Freestyle(TM) machines, the revolutionary fountain drink dispenser, which offers more than 120 different drink options. Additionally, the theatre now features coffee and espresso using Seattle's Best products. And guests can also choose among frozen options, including fresh scooped ice cream, YogenFruz(R) Frozen Yogurt and Minute Maid(R) Frozen Smoothies.
